Allegiant has built its network around underserved leisure markets with point-to-point nonstops.
The carrier avoids major hub airports, preferring secondary fields with lower costs — a profile that matches McKinney National Airport (DTX).
Avelo Airlines was ultimately confirmed as McKinney's commercial launch carrier, starting November 11, 2026. Allegiant could still add service to DTX later as the airport proves out demand.
