November 11, 2026. Avelo Airlines confirmed the launch date on June 30, 2026, with five nonstop routes, added four more on September 24, 2026, and two more on October 15, 2026 for a total of 11. The FAA issued the airport's Part 139 operating certificate on September 24.

Avelo Airlines is the launch carrier and, so far, the only one. It is basing three Boeing 737-800s at the new DTX terminal.
