Avelo's $99 McKinney Fares and Free Checked Bag Ended October 12

Update, October 13, 2026: these launch offers have ended. Avelo's $99 introductory fares and free first checked bag from McKinney (DTX) required booking by 11:59 p.m. Pacific on October 12, 2026. Check aveloair.com for current fares and terms. The article below is kept as originally published.

Avelo Airlines' launch offers at McKinney National Airport (DTX) end at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on Monday, October 12, 2026 (1:59 a.m. Tuesday in Texas). There are two offers, and they cover different trips.

The $99 fare: introductory one-way fares from $99 per segment, including government taxes and fees, for travel to or from DTX between December 1 and 17, 2026, or January 7 and 31, 2027. The Christmas and New Year weeks are excluded. Seats and days are limited, so expect $99 on some flights, not all of them.

The free checked bag: your first checked bag is $0 on any one-way or round trip to or from DTX bought online by the same deadline, as long as travel is finished by January 31, 2027. That isn't limited to the four December routes. It also covers the November launch flights to Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Orlando, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale, and it's worth more than most fare swings on a family trip. The bag is lost if you cancel the reservation, and it doesn't apply to trips you've already booked.

Book on aveloair.com rather than by phone. Avelo charges $25 per traveler for bookings made through its call center, and the bag offer requires an online purchase.

If your dates don't fit the windows, the routes don't go away on October 13. Only the launch pricing does. Our deal pages show the operating days for each route, and our airport comparison tool shows whether DTX still beats DFW or Love Field once the intro fare is gone.
