Where these numbers come from

Operating days and flight durationscome from Avelo’s published launch schedule, verified on 2026-09-25. This is schedule compatibility, not live availability — we label the difference everywhere it matters.

Ranking is deterministic. Schedule fit first, then flight length, whether the destination holds up in the nights you have, and how well it matches the interests you picked. Same inputs, same order, every time.

Minimum nights are editorial. They reflect our judgment about each destination, and each result says when it disagrees with your window. Read the destination guides.

Questions about this tool

Which DTX routes work as a weekend trip?

Las Vegas, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Fort Myers all hold up over two or three nights. Orlando is the exception — park tickets only pay off across several days, so the tool demotes it on a Friday-to-Sunday window.

Does this show live seat availability?

No. It matches your days against the airline's published operating days. A route that flies on your day can still be sold out or expensive — check flight search before you plan around it.

Why does a mid-week pair return nothing?

DTX flies no Tuesdays at all, and only a few routes on Wednesday. Friday to Sunday and Thursday to Monday have the most options.

What are 'usable days'?

Nights away, adjusted for when you fly. A morning departure and an evening return buy you most of the first and last days; an evening departure and a morning return give you neither.
